• This is a field that offers stability and growth! The demand for HVAC technicians is expected to grow by 15% between 2019 and 2029, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is faster than the average for all occupations, and it means that there will be plenty of job opportunities for HVAC technicians in Las Vegas.
• There’s plenty of growth opportunity in the career. Many HVAC technicians start out as apprentices or helpers and work their way up to becoming full-fledged technicians. 1. Constant pursuit of quality education. ATI has been accredited with ACCET since 2009 and achieved HVAC Excellence Accreditation in ______. Accreditation is a process by which educational institutions and programs are evaluated against standards set by an accrediting body to ensure that they meet certain criteria and provide students with a high-quality education. These standards range from the quality of the institution’s instructional delivery to minimum student outcomes for graduation and job placement in the field of study. ATI’s accreditation requires a minimum graduation rate of 67% and minimum job placement rate of 70%.
2. ATI hires instructors that have real-world field experience. These instructors are able to help students learn practical application of the theory they learn in the classroom and hands-on labs.
3. ATI provides students with a hands-on learning lab that gives them the freedom to learn on equipment they will find in the field. This environment makes it safer to make mistakes as opposed to making them in the field through on-the-job training.
4. ATI gives graduates the ability to come back for refresher courses at no additional charge. In the event that an ATI graduate works primarily on A/C units for a number of years and decides they would like to go into refrigeration, the graduate can come back to ATI to retake the refrigeration courses at no additional cost.
5. ATI has a very active Career Services Department that works with students to develop resumes, connect with employers, and understand what employers are looking for in prospective candidates.
